Licensed HVAC Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

Technicians will be dispatched to customer’s homes within our service area and must be able to repair and maintain oil, propane & natural gas residential heating as well as cooling and ventilation equipment. Qualified applicants must have excellent customer service skills, a desire to learn new technologies and systems, and a willingness to participate in continuing education.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment

  • Install heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment

  • Understand all state and national codes

  • Maintain vehicle warehouse inventory and keep it organized

  • Rotating on-call schedule for weekends, evenings, and holidays

  • Available during high-demand times and able to work additional hours

  • Miscellaneous duties as required

rEQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Current B, D, or S state license or in the state apprenticeship program

  • Current EPA license

  • Valid driver’s license

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, twisting, lifting, and pulling of parts and equipment.  Must have the ability to lift and/or move items up to 85 pounds. The position requires employees to regularly talk and listen.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

100% field work. Working inside, climbing up and down stairs to basements, attics, crawl spaces, and other tight and confined spaces.  Working outside in all weather conditions. Climbing and working from ladders. Driving a service vehicle to calls, getting in and out of a truck, and getting tools and materials in and out of the truck. Working with and exposed to hazardous materials daily.
